The leaves are almost completely off the trees and the air has grown crisp and cool making us yearn for cozy knits in rich fall colors with structured coats and rich leather boots. Fall clothes make any girl look like she stepped off the pages of Vogue. There is something about the transformation into a perfectly tied scarf, a cognac colored bag, oversized shades and sky high heels that make even the most laid back, flip flop clad girl of summer worthy of a strut down the catwalk. Fall just feels dressy... even if we opt for flats and boyfriend jeans with a blazer and a slouchy hobo...the luxe fabrics of fall just package us up as the darling little dolls we are....well...let's not go that far!!

What we've been up to...
It seems like the past two months have flown by here at Diva...first it was Fashion Week in New York where we found fabulous new lines for spring and discovered our new fave hangout...the Standard Grill in the Meatpacking district. October brought the Sailboat Show and lots of out-of-town shoppers and the Power Boat Show brought a monsoon rainstorm the likes of which we hope to never see again. The second Annual Strut & Sip for Autism was a raging success! When we were a week out and had almost sold out the event, we knew we were going to turn away more than a few people and we felt badly about that. All the preparations for the show had us super busy, not to mention the day-to-day work at the shop which always takes first priority since we pride ourselves on the best customer service in town. When the big day came, it was so exciting to see the red carpet and banner go up as we built the runway inside and finished details on the model line up and silent auction layout. The fashionable "whose who" of Annapolis began to arrive and were treated to the best spread in town. The tea infused cocktails were to-die for and the hand passed delicacies were top shelf. Everyone seemed to be enjoying the scene. Then it was time for our runway show that was high energy, high fashion and full of stunning divas! We worked hard all night so after the auction it was time to let loose and dance the night away with our guests. It was truly a fabulous evening and anyone who could not make it this year should get a ticket early next year, as this is fast becoming one of the most exclusive events in town. We could not be more pleased to have so much enthusiasm for such an amazing cause. Maryland Therapeutic Riding's Horses that Heal program provides an amazing experience for children with autism. After the Strut and Sip there was no rest for the divas as it was time to fit models for two more fashion shows. A local women's group held their annual luncheon at Chartwell, and the Yacht Club asked us to accessorize the runway with Nordstrom at their annual show. We love what we do and bringing the latest in fashion to the fabulous women of Annapolis is something we are passionate about. November also brought several personal shopping appointments which are growing in popularity at Diva because we treat you like a goddess and the only fee involved is what you purchase. There is no pressure to go nuts, you can spend as much or as little as you need and we will devote all our attention to you after hours in a relaxed, fun environment. Picture yourself on the ottoman as we bring things for you to try as you sip and nibble on treats and nod yes or no. Now picture it with the Roy Orbison song playing in the background and conjure up a Pretty Woman moment... you know you deserve it!
